Bahamas Cycling  Championships Back to Exuma

After close to a 19-year hiatus, the Bahamas Cycling Federation National Road Championship returned to Exuma. Riders young to old opted to cover 5 to 72 miles starting from Mt. Thompson. As reported in The Tribune, according to Secretary General Barron “Turbo” Musgrove - the event organizer - the event had the greatest participation of junior competitors in action ever, not just from Exuma, but New Providence and Grand Bahama. Exuma won 8 medals, and three golds!

The plan forward shows The Nationals to be held on a different one of the Family Islands each year, provided the island can accommodate the race. Friends of Exuma is proud to sponsor this great event that puts Exuma on the map in terms of both cycling and tourism.

Don’t forget, if cycling is your thing, the Tour de Turquoise is planned for January 22-26, 2026.
